Responsibilities: As part of the Structural Team, you’ll be...

Design load-bearing steel structures based on the provided loads and requirements
Create and maintain 3D models and assemblies, and create and release drawings for manufacturing
Play a key role from design to prototyping
Redesigns and new feature developments to meet AELER's product plan and production forecast
Interact closely with our production partner to validate the designs
Be in contact with production department to align product feasibility
Constantly interact with FEA engineers to optimize design

Experiences: To flourish in this role, you’ll need...

+5 years experience in CAD design engineering with welded steel structures
Experienced in cost-optimization and serial-production design
Good know-how on creating 3D modeling, drawings to manufacturing and geometric tolerances
Excellent knowledge of welding, steel products, bending, profiles
Interface with CAE simulation team to improve the design based on the simulation results

Ideally you have:
Experience in mass-production industries i.e. automotive, marine, aerospace or architectural sector
Ideally knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing
Strong knowledge in next-generation manufacturing processes
Designed high load-bearing structures and complex structure
Experience working with Inventor (other softwares might be considered depending on the experience)
Experience with PDM software and expertise in release mechanism
Experience in quality and DFMA (Design For Manufacturing and Assembly)
